Attention City West residents, new retail is coming to our neighborhood! Subway, Yogurberry and Mitaki Sushi have begun construction on their respective retail spaces in Vero’s ground level fronting Wilshire Boulevard. After talking to the construction crews this afternoon, I confirmed the news with building management.

Yogurberry (a frozen yogurt eatery) is on the fast track for completion by February, and will mark its entry into the Downtown market. Mitaki Sushi has one other Downtown location on 6th between Hope and Grand in the Library Court.

This leaves three unclaimed retail units in the building. According to the most recent information available, Famima!! and an un-named Korean bakery are considering the property.
