Comments on: city hall shuttle terminated, dash route changes

This is all I could dig up, from the DOT regarding the new Central City East DASH:

Service will start on Thursday,Sept. 4 at a press event to be held at 10 AM. Details about the event are still being finalized. After that, service will operate every 20 minutes from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The area served will be east of Main St. between 2nd and 7th Sts.

A route and schedule flyer is being prepared and will be available before the service starts, after it has been reviewed by Council Districts 9 and 14.

It will not be the Dash G it will run like a community DASH every 20 minutes.

The Dash G will be the Central City East Dash Service. There will be a press conference to acknowledge those in skid row who worked over 7 years to make this a reality. I will have further details on when the press conference will be. It was not SRO Housing Corporation executives who made this possible or the ceos of the not-for profits it was the work of the actual residents.

The new DASH service that will begin on Sept. 4 in the eastside of Downtown will be called DASH Central City East. It will operate every 20 minutes from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. It will use one of the vehicles freed up from the cancellation of the City Hall Shuttle. The other vehicle will be added to the revised DASH Route A so bus frequencies can be maintained.
