Went to Raw Materials last night on the way to Blossom. The prices are fantastic - we came away with a beginner's set of oils, a bunch of brushes, and two canvases for about $40. That's a serious bargain. And the service was tremendous and friendly. The store is visually appealing and has everything you would need for fine arts. Good luck! This is a great place and my best wishes for its success.

just to clarify, we are open but we aren't fully stocked. a lot of the full-size displays of merchandise that are being shipped straight from the manufacturers haven't arrived yet -- that includes golden acrylics, liquitex acrylics, gamblin oils, l&b louvre acrylics and oils, strathmore pads and paper, canson paper, arches paper, prismacolor pens and pencils, princeton brushes, winsor & newton brushes, rgm palette knives, and more that i am undoubtedly forgetting. we also haven't yet received our shipment from our architectural supplies distributor.

our grand opening event will probably happen during the october art walk, not tomorrow's. we are putting together some special deals for tomorrow, though. and the 50%-off sale on pre-stretched canvas continues.

Congratulations to Jim and Celia.

That storefront was the first space that I looked at, and almost rented, before taking the space at 5th & Main. Back then, it was considered gutsy to go south of Winston. My how things have changed.
