Fantastic pastrami sandwich - some of the best homemade potato salad - and great menu featuring some all time NY Jewish Deli favorites! Tommy the owner was personable and outgoing and even at the height of the busy lunch hour made sure to visit and extend warm greetings. LA has some terrific delis - and Tommy's is now a welcome addition to this dynamic list!

I agree with Dennis, Langer's has the absolute best pastrami sandwich. It's even better than Nate & Al's. The crusty rye bread is so good at Langers.. Tommy's should do well since it's close to local business.

I like deli food so I welcome this news about Tommy Pastrami but I hope they recognize the competition they're up against. Just down the block is the solid but unspectacular Yorkshire Grill which despite its Anglophilic name aspires to be a New York style delicatessen. However, just minutes away via subway is Langer's, which arguably has the best pastrami in the whole country.

Maybe Tommy Pastrami will have regular night time and , even better, late night hours(Can you imagine, in a big city?) as that would give it a leg up on the aforementioned competition.

Mmmm...meat!

I love Johnny's Pastrami in Culver City. Maybe a little too ghetto for downtown so Tommy's will do. LOL.

Great! We need more neighborhood joints that cater to residents as well as the "bridge & tunnel" crowd.

Another must go is the"Eastside Market" Good pastrami, great meatball and sausage subs.
