downtown sushi chain arrives west of the 110
Joining its busy 6th Street and AT&T Center locations, Mitaki Sushi is getting last-minute preparations in line for its third Downtown restaurant, set to open tomorrow at Vero.
The “quick and fresh” Japanese eatery dishes up a long list of specialty rolls, sashimi and cooked entree plates — in addition to the usual noodle alternatives and mochi ice cream. Mitaki’s arrival on this block of Wilshire in City West creates a mini row of retail businesses keeping daytime office workers and round-the-clock residents from having to cross the freeway for a bite to eat.
And more is on the way: Neighboring businesses Wien Bakery and Yogurberry are also complete but have been held up due to electrical issues, which are now resolved.
Planned lunch and dinner hours for Mitaki Sushi are daily from 11:00am to 9:00pm.

Hopefully they keep their dinner hours, or it’s at least deservingly so. They stopped their dinner hours at 6th & Hope a while back.
Mitaki is quite good for a chain. It’s in my rotation.
Yay, another sushi place! (sarcasm) I’ve ranted enough about sushi places. I see they have hot food, so I’ll give them credit for that. And it’s in my building…after first looking into Vero almost 2 years ago with promises of retail, it’s nice to get anything. Like Anaheim says, I hope they keep their dinner hours…god forbid they extend those hours, but it is pretty sleepy in our area.
MITAKI VERY VERY GOOD!THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH!
