MaDang LLC’s four-level, 100,000 square-foot shopping and entertainment development designed by Corbel Architects is expected to be completed by June 30. A multi-screen CGV cinema and Woo Lae Oak restaurant will be the anchors of approximately 45 businesses.
According to Edward Kim of Realtyland Co. (the project’s leasing agent), more than 70% of the retail space has been leased and a grand opening event will be held sometime in October.

The Gardens at Wilshire Center
The six-story mixed-use apartment complex at Wilshire and Hobart is scheduled to open later this spring. Gardens at Wilshire Center will offer 159 rental units with one, two and three bedroom floor plans. The ground level will contain 7,500 square feet of retail space.
According to the project’s website, building amenities include gated parking, two courtyards, swimming pool and Jacuzzi spa, gas barbeques and picnic tables, state-of-the-art fitness center with sauna, business center, and a rooftop deck with a screening room.

A new eight-story residential structure is under construction on Kenmore north of 6th Street. SLAB Architecture designed the project which will contain 42 luxury units ranging from 1,360 to 1,960 square feet. Excavation work on site looks to be complete, but little progress has been made since December.
Construction is planned for completion in 2009.

Solair Wilshire located on the northeast corner of Wilshire and Western has completely topped out, and the structure’s glass curtain wall is now being applied on all sides of the residential tower.
The project’s ancillary retail center designed to front the Metro Purple Line station, broke ground several weeks ago. A total of 40,000 square-feet of commercial space is planned for the development. No tenants have been announced.
Solair Wilshire will be completed by late 2009.

I love Koreatown. And your coverage of it. The only thing about troubling about Koreatown is the “gold potato” pizza at Mr. Pizza Factory.
What about 3670 Wilshire?!
TH, 3670 Wilshire is a pipe dream until we see dozers on site. There’s nothing to report really besides adding the newer renderings Curbed found last month… I may add them though.
Great I’m really looking foward to MaDang: The Courtyard
Also want to taste the Bon Chon Chicken , next time i head over that area will make a stop.
And I also just saw a TV commercial for Iced Coffee offered at McDonald’s of all places..lol $ 1.89 for medium in 5 varieties- hazel nut, caramel etc.
I love spring and summer!
Another “what about” for you: What about the new Equitable City Center (that may not be the right name) with the grocery store as the anchor tenant?? Last time you guys wrote on it you listed the projected opening for the City Market grocery store as March, which doesn’t seem likely now. Any more news?? Gracias!
Tim,
Don’t yuck it till you try it.
