Two members of our crew ate here last week. Despite their protests, our entire crew had lunch here today. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant. The service is exemplary. It's just unfortunate that the food, for the price point, or even far below their price point, is terrible. Had I paid $3.00 for their philly cheese steak sandwich, I would have been merely disappointed, but to cough up $12 and get about 2 oz. of beef and a sprinkling of cheese over a simple amuse bouche of peppers and onions is patently offensive.
Our driver requested fresh ground pepper for his chicken caesar salad, for the reason, he later told me, that that was the only thing he could think of that would give it any flavor. Our decorator's turkey club contained dried-up husks of meat that purported to be turkey (she liked the bacon and avocado, which was the only portion of the sandwich she ate). Their thin crust pizza was inexplicably soggy (my sandwich was so un-satisfying as an entree that I sampled whatever anyone else didn't want to eat), and their onion ring side (5 rings) was soggy and gummy.
I can only hope that this place either goes belly-up, and someone worthwhile in the kitchen takes over, or their current chef gets the message and starts producing palatable food. The bar looks nice, and I might stop in for happy hour, because I doubt they could screw up bottled beer. No bets on mixed drinks (go for the mojitos at Broadway Bar:FANTASTIC!)

Went here for brunch on saturday and this place is great. i got the breakfast burrito and my friend got the french toast and both were perfect, and very reasonably priced. Was a sharp contrast to Tranquility Base's brunch which is expensive, unexceptional and with terrible service.

back to 6th street cafe- i talked to the manager and he explained that they have happy hour every evening (which they'll need to get people all the way out there):

Margarita Monday
Taco Tuesday
Free pizza when you order a pitcher Wednesday
Martini Thursdays
forgot what Fridays are

I would highly recommend their breakfast. Can't wait to check out happy hour.

I tried going for breakfast this morning and the place was closed. The hours say it's open Saturday at 7:30am. Am I mistaken?

I just had breakfast there this morning. Great place with good food at very reasonable prices. I'll have to bring my boys back to catch a couple games at the place. We'll be back for sure.

So the hours Nik stated above are the correct ones?
If that is true, why close so early at 2pm on Saturday, dude its spring and summer just around the corner :(
I go by that intersection about 8 times a week, can't wait to trying it soon.
And im downtown LA adjacent by like 8 miles south east ..lol (thats what i tell myself anyways).

oh , yeah , now that the Central City East Dash will be running for 180 days starting this summer. I will also be able to make it out to the 6th street grill.

God it is good to be able to get places I need to without using the MTA busses

just had lunch there. very tasty & reasonably priced. I had the fish & chips too--delish. My friends had a salad and the salmon, which was very good as well. the place looked good too, and we're definitely going back for the happy hour specials, which looked extensive. I'd recommend it.
