when did we get so chic? fremont boutique opens
As we all know, Downtown Angelenos are ahead of the pack.
Yeah we’re cool, sure we’re beautiful, lord knows we’re smart, and yes my friends, we are chic (or at least our city is). Designers and hip boutique owners alike seem to finally be recognizing Downtown as a new style destination, and my city is becoming hipper than I ever aspired to be.
Designing partners Devin Carlson and Britney Pham also seem to possess this keen insight, taking their label Fremont Apparel Company and establishing Fremont, a new clothing boutique in the Old Bank District.
The simple, modern layout of the shop on 4th Street keeps with the equally contemporary, timelessness of their apparel. Fremont is the brand’s first retail boutique.
This store can now be added to the growing list of fashion forward merchants housed in the neighborhood such as Comme des Garçon’s guerilla store or Chinatown’s New High (M)art and Welcome Hunters.

I plan to stop by this weekend to check the place out.
I’m still searching for that clothing store that has wearable, well-priced mens clothing - for non-skaters. I know other local young guys my age are looking for the same thing.
This is interesting too, according to commenter ‘free agent’, 43 Styles will soon be carrying a new label that looks promising:
“Free Agents label for men and women will be featured in 43 styles starting april 26th!!! We will be offering our high end label at affordable prices in this venue.”
Whew! Sarcasm is difficult to pull off in this context. It didn’t come across that way at all.

A useful feature might be a method to email authors directly. I could have easily queried you off-line without interupting the more natural flow of comments. That might have been more efficient.

Here’s hoping a good’s men’s clothing store opens up in our neighborhood soon. Although they do sell awesomely cheap socks at those stores on Broadway…
