1010 Wilshire, Downtown Los AngelesHoping to pioneer a niche rental market in Downtown Los Angeles, the adaptive reuse project TENTEN Wilshire will soon offer luxury short-term apartments for white-collar business professionals akin to a lifestyle of exclusivity.

After years of reconstruction, the former 16-story office tower is aiming for a May opening date, and inquiries are now being accepted for the 227 units consisting of floor plans from 657 square-feet up to 2,000 square-feet penthouses on the top two levels.

TENTEN’s “corporate housing” concept is similar to NYC’s AKA where tenants are treated more as hotel guests, enjoying fully-furnished living quarters with access to swank conveniences such as 24-hour concierge, valet parking, weekly housecleaning, 3-mile private “Escalade service” and a host of business-oriented amenities including business center and conference rooms.

Aside from all the posh pampering, those who can afford such a lifestyle will enjoy extensive rooftop space with an open bar (yes, alcoholic), fire pit, theater/viewing room, outdoor dog park, lounge area and fitness center with dry sauna. Perched on the edge of City West, residents will also gain unmatched views of the Financial District, Hollywood, Griffith Observatory, Century City and the ocean.

Think you’re ready to move in?

Individuals interested in leasing opportunities will need to contact one of the project’s “Relationship Managers,” (yes, I had the same reaction) but know that developers will be fetching a premium for resident stays.

Also, don’t even think about sampling the place for a weekend — 30-day minimum agreements are required.

Again, just like hanover, this is a very nice project.

It is too bad the surrounding neighorhood ammenities are not at the level of this property.

It’s only 2 blocks to 7th & Fig, 4 blocks to Ralph’s, about 6 blocks to LA Live… Not a bad proximity to the major downtown services. There is lots of available street parking at almost any time of day. Few “bums” wandering the streets. It’s not in the middle of it all, but is still a very convenient location. I live at 1100 Wilshire and think the area has great long term potential.

I’ve toured it, very nice project…affordability will be the main focus as we all will like it…main target will be corp. clients and individuals with a large disposable income…welcome to the neighborhood 1010!!

I remember working in this building when we had PT&T as a client in the early 1980’s. It certainly looks much nicer THIS way!
