#26: The trees are on Figueroa between 12th and Olympic, along Chick Hearn Court and in the Nokia Plaza. I can attest that they are in fact lighted.

where are these 150 trees draped in LED lights? i was driving around and couldnt find them anywhere. I know they haven’t been lighted yet but i don’t see that many trees ready to be lighted up.

its all gonna take place in such a small area (1 acre roughly) I really hope they can pull it all off maybe they can use 11th street for the big crowds in the future also I am definitely looking forward to seeing the trees all along Fig and Olympic lit up and covered with snowfall lighting they should keep that up year round. Gooo LA!!

Hopefully the supporters will be out there at LA Live on a consistent enough basis to show what Downtown is capable of and perhaps get some of the other projects like LA Central, Grand Ave, Park Fifth, etc…… off the ground.

Now that we have some momentum going I hope that we can keep it rolling.

Well, this is definitely a good start to LA Live making its intro onto the global stage. If the area around LA Live starts to really infill with other high quality mixed-use projects—like LA Central and “Jardin”—then DTLA really has a bright future at becoming the true urban center of a city lost without an identity for way too long.
