chado tea room grand opening this sunday at janm

Japanese American National Museum, Downtown Los AngelesLittle Tokyo’s Japanese American National Museum is holding a special grand opening for Chado Tea Room this Sunday, June 8, with a tea-tasting presentation by author James Norwood Pratt.

The 4-hour event (to be filled with lots of hot beverages) will begin at 1:00pm, available to JAMN members for $30 a ticket ($40 for non-members).

Chado currently operates a location in Beverly Hills and offers almost 300 different tea varieties from over ten different countries around the world. The new room will be located inside the museum’s Terasaki Garden Café.

there is also a chado tea room in old town pasadena. of all the tea places i’ve frequented, chado still is the champion for the sheer amount tea choices that they offer.
