eater la may be right: pinkberry progress

This blog has moved to Twitter! Check out my twitter feed for the latest restaurant, retail, and cultural news in the neighborhood.

It appears that Eater LA may be correct with some information that Pinkberry in Little Tokyo will open by Wednesday.

Forgetting the Pinkberry “controversy,” Pinkberry haters, and whether or not it’s actually yogurt for a second, this brand-new business will add much activity to an otherwise lifeless Cultural Center Plaza, which stands in contrast to the Japanese Village Plaza across Second Street.

Maybe I’m choosing my words a bit harshly, though I never see many people walking around the Cultural Center Plaza, and businesses located there have short hours, especially on weekends. A few more pedestrians crossing Second Street should help encourage longer hours and new businesses to locate here.

And no, I’m not a Pinkberry stalker.
