downtown’s a circus: ringling bros. and barnum & bailey at staples center

This blog has moved to Twitter! Check out my twitter feed for the latest restaurant, retail, and cultural news in the neighborhood.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & BaileyStep right up ladies and gentlemen, and children of all ages, the circus is about to begin!

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey are presenting their “Over The Top” production next week at the Staples Center for a five-night run. Expect a wacky and whimsical extravaganza where dogs fly, Asian elephants dance and a crazy courageous man stands eye to eye with a pack of Bengal tigers.

It won’t be a traditional big top event like the Cirque Berzerk show coming to Chinatown’s Cornfield Park later this month, but a circus doesn’t get much better than this.

Get your tickets now before they sell out!

After the Circus closes there is always an “Animal Walk” to the freight train that transports the animals to the next show. It’s usually late in the night, and is announced the day before or that day. I went to see them last year.

7thmateo…..Thank you for posting, i support your post 100% It is no secret that Wringling Bros & Barnum & Baily have gotten a lot of backlash from not only activists, but their sponsors.Corporate sponsors continuously drop their support/promotions once the truth and evidence of the cruelty behind the circus is brought to their attention. If anyone is interested in learning more, you can read about the evidence of cruelty, and also about the corporate sponsor drop off here http://www.circuses.com/ It is a sad world when cruelty is camouflaged as family fun!
