unlikely retail spaces lease west of 110 freeway
Two new commercial tenants have appeared virtually overnight on a stretch of 7th Street in City West experiencing a continuous string of improvements lately. Neither of these businesses are anything to get too excited about, but both are noteworthy due to the long-standing vacancies of the spaces each now occupies.
At the foot of the Commodore Apartments, Sunny Shoe Repair has erected very vivid signage to announce the upcoming retailer, which has yet to begin construction on its interior space.
Half-way down the next block across Lucas Avenue, V.I.P. Acupuncture established a mini practice inside the once-barren confines of the Hotel DeVille. The Korean-owned business, which opened its doors yesterday, also offers acupressure massages and is open daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm.

Wow a massage place in a hourly hotel. Isn’t that what the hotel rooms are for?
Of course we’ll joke about it, but it’s a legitimate massage place – no frills though.
I’ve heard there is more than V.I.P. Acupuncture going on up in there?
