parking structure in south park well underway
Excavation and rough grading is complete for CIM Group‘s new parking garage near 8th and Hope, adjacent to the north side of Market Lofts.
Since early June, construction crews have been readying the site to begin erecting the new seven-story structure, which will link to the existing Flower Street garage and bring an additional 4,000 to 5,000 square-feet of retail to Hope Street.
An additional 14-months of construction is anticipated for completion.

As a Market Loft resident I am very excited to see this completed. Of course it is still more than a year away, and I might not be here shortly after this thing is up and running …
The sidewalk in front of the construction site is still closed however. I read the councilpersons office had been contacted about this but it’s a very dangerous situation people are navigating these days and I would hate to see an accident occur. I’d love a covered walkway to be put up in the lane people are using for parking.
