Since the groundbreaking ceremony in June 2007, the 54-story convention center hotel’s pit has been completely dug out and actual construction has officially begun.

The highrise structure’s steel frame should soon begin to rise rapidly on the northwest corner of the LA Live complex. Once complete in late 2010, the tower will become the iconic centerpiece of Downtown’s new entertainment mecca.
