when did we get so chic? fremont boutique opens
As we all know, Downtown Angelenos are ahead of the pack.
Yeah we’re cool, sure we’re beautiful, lord knows we’re smart, and yes my friends, we are chic (or at least our city is). Designers and hip boutique owners alike seem to finally be recognizing Downtown as a new style destination, and my city is becoming hipper than I ever aspired to be.
Designing partners Devin Carlson and Britney Pham also seem to possess this keen insight, taking their label Fremont Apparel Company and establishing Fremont, a new clothing boutique in the Old Bank District.
angelenic.com is the neighborhood resource for Downtown Los Angeles and environs.

student + spring sample sales = starving student
Clothes, I love you. I feel, though, like you don’t love me back.
Sure you make me look good, but I make you look better. I spend all my money on you and you keep asking me for more. “Jorda, I need to go to the tailor!” “Jorda, I need to go to the dry cleaner!” The sad thing is I can’t resist you and I want more of you. But I just can’t afford you! How can we ever make our relationship work?!
Enter the sample sale. Here you can find tons of beautifully made clothes at ridiculously low prices.
It’s gotten to the point that I primarily shop at these sales more then anywhere else, and the majority of them are right in our own backyard.
I’ll blow my week’s student allowance and paycheck a few times a year when these sales are in full swing, which is right about now!
