canvas la brushes color on city west
Several residential projects are slated to open this spring in City West, and one of them is dressing for the season.
Canvas LA, a new five-story apartment complex fronting the 110 Freeway from the northeast corner of 1st and Beaudry, has become the playful pop of chroma originally depicted in its early project rendering. Punches of maroon, powder blue and hot pink compete for the attention of passersby against the equally vibrant Vista Hermosa school complex across the street.
Construction is wrapping up and move-ins are being advertised to begin next month. The contemporary building contains luxury lofts and townhomes ranging from 500 to 1,500 square feet with rents from $1,800 to $5,000 a month.
Seem too expensive for a project in the far corner of Downtown overlooking a busy freeway?
It is, but the developer Broadstone Living is hoping the amenities list will justify the ambitious pricing.
Approximately 6,000 square feet of retail, a screening room with a 100-inch screen, “resort-style” pool and wellness spa, and a rooftop “cloud room” with skyline views and a fireplace will help make this residential complex a self-contained oasis, considering it’s virtually disconnected from the rest of Downtown on a pedestrian level.
Think of it as a Geoff Palmer development with style.
