lofty dog relocates to the ‘bark’-er block

Lofty Dog Interior, Downtown Los AngelesWhen one doggie door closes, another opens.

Lofty Dog owners Cabrini Schneider and Karen Martin are in the process of relocating their pet supplies and service shop from the Historic Core to the Artist District.

The current location on 2nd Street near Main closed its doors on February 29th and will soon reopen next to Reel Appeal inside the Barker Block at 525 S. Hewitt Street.

According to Schneider, the new 7,000 square-foot retail space is now under construction and will allow the business to grow and expand its service base. When complete, grooming, doggie day care, all the retail and an indoor dog park will be housed under one roof.

Several Historic Core pet owners we’ve spoken to say they will continue to patronize the new and improved Lofty Dog once their arrival at Barker Block is official. Though with Pussy & Pooch now in the neighborhood, we’ll see who stays Top Dog.

-grand launch event offers a taste of pussy & pooch
-more than just a pet store, it’s a “pussy experience”
