new clothing boutique finds home in sb lofts

43 Styles, a new fashion boutique nestled between Salon on 6 and Rodrick Gilchrist on the 6th Street side of SB Lofts, quietly opened its doors Monday.
Silver Lake resident Victor Witold Motak — with the assistance of interior designer Kim Lukasik of VAN-DER-ZON Decor — has created a simple but spiffy shop focusing on female apparel.
“I want to offer styles for eclectic young girls, business women over thirty, even elegant ladies reaching retirement age,” explains Motak, emphasizing his desire to appeal to all types of women in Downtown.
Most of the clothing currently sold at 43 Styles are non-designer pieces priced affordably in the $20 to $25 range, but Motak hopes to diversify his selection.
“I plan to work with local, up-and-coming designers to bring in unique pieces, possibly those who don’t yet have a clothing line established,” he says. “Higher-end garments are a possibility down the road.”
With the caliber of young talent rooted here locally at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), Motak should have no problem partnering with aspiring trend-setters looking to make an entrance into the world of retail. If all goes as planned, Motak will also team with men’s clothing designers to round out his collection, spotting an untapped neighborhood market he would eventually like to reach. For now, only a small choice of t-shirts are available for male patrons.

This Saturday, April 5 at 6:00pm, a grand opening event will be held for 43 Styles at its location near 6th and Spring.
Shoppers, curious residents and well-wishers should stop by to support the new merchant. Tentative hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm, seven days a week. Look for the white window decal on the storefront next to Salon on 6.
Ladies, of Motak’s 43 styles, one is bound to fit your tastes. Don’t forget to check out Rodrick Gilchrist’s boutique next door while you’re there!

I just stopped by the store on my lunch break today. Lots of great, unique styles and the prices are very affordable. I already found at least 3 pieces I want to buy, so I’ll def be back on Friday when I get paid! The owner said it’s been a slow start so far. They were even open during art walk night until 9pm. I encourage you to go in and show your support. They have a 25% off sale rack and a few men’s styles too. He should probably consider having some upbeat music in the store to help set the mood and install more than one dressing booth.
