new rendering for ‘dark horse’ city west tower
For obvious reasons, angelenic doesn’t get to post about many of these anymore!
Previously called Trinity Towers, the residential highrise being developed by American Eastern Group (the other AEG) for the southeast corner of 8th and Garland has been scaled down to 18-stories, renamed and given a fresh look.
Now known simply as 8th and Garland Tower (appropriately singular), GDS Architects has designed the structure to include 64 condominium units atop a 144-space parking podium.
According to project representative Sun-Kai Pan, entitlements are still being sought, and Curbed LA has reported a hearing date of May 21 is set for the Planning Department.
Best of luck to this little-tower-that-could. Show the big boys how it’s done!
